This is a fantastic role for those who are looking for flexibility in their working hours and the ability to manage their own time. This role also allows you to work predominantly from home (there is a requirement to attend half termly governing body meetings and occasional ad hoc committee meetings) and you will be provided with equipment to enable you to do so.
Newton Poppleford Primary School has a strong ethos of collaboration and support and is looking for someone who will fit into our dedicated team . We are seeking an organised and competent individual to provide administrative support and advice to our Governing Board and Chair of Governors. We are a thriving, one-form entry, maintained school and pre-school located 20 minutes from Exeter and just outside Sidmouth. Your role will be crucial to help the Governors carry out their responsibilities and to play their part in supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team. You will need to be an excellent communicator and knowledgeable individual.
The main responsibilities of the role include providing advice, support and guidance to the Governing Board and effective organisation and administration of Board and Committee meetings. This work is vital in supporting the wider school and requires outstanding organisational skills and effective minuting.

This role is at Grade D with an hourly rate between £11.81 - £12.70 per hour (upper levels negotiable at interview.)

We are looking for one local authority governor to join our governing board and would love to attract an individual who has the skills and experience to contribute to the success of our school. We currently have enough parent governors, but grandparents and other community members would be welcome to get in touch, please spread the word!
